 9:30AM CLASSES

Friendship welcomes senior singles and couples who are interested in enriching Bible study, opportunities for Christian service and fellowship in class as well as at social gatherings.  Studying the Cokesbury series: “God, the People and the Covenant."                              Location: S1&S2                                                                                            

Good News/Wesley members are mature singles and couples who eagerly enjoy lively Bible study and discussion.  Social gatherings promote class fellowship.  They support various local missions.  Studying the Cokesbury series: “God, the People and the Covenant."                               Location: S3

Koinonia inurtures each other with friendship, the definition of Koinonia.  The class is full of interaction pertaining to today’s lives, as well as study of the Bible and leading a Christ-like lifestyle. They combine their Church relationships with a social calendar to strengthen their bonds. Currently studying “Favorite Bible Passages.”           Location: NH107     

Ray Harrison has couples, singles and single-on-Sunday members ranging in age from 50 and up.  They are caring and supportive  of one another and of those outside the class who are in need.  Studying the Cokesbury series: “God, the People and the Covenant."                                         Location: S4 

Steeple People is a class with singles and couples of various ages from the 20’s through the 70’s.  They enjoy Bible study that relates the Bible to    current events. An important mission for them is intercessory prayer.  Currently studying 2 Corinthians.                                                                                          Location: NH115                                             

Word Study/Family Foundations includes singles and adults of all ages.  They are intent on building strong foundations for their lives so class studies focus on their relationship with God and one another through Bible-based curriculum.   Currently studying Characters of the Bible.               Location: NH106

11:00AM CLASSES

Faithful Friends is a diverse group of people particularly interested in welcoming those who are new to Small Community.   Studying “Step By Step Through the Old Testament” - providing new insights about important events, people, places and themes of the Old Testament.        Location: NH115 

F.i.S.H. (Families in Service to Him) is a Bible study for singles and couples emphasizing spiritual growth through fellowship.  Discussions include Biblical characters, scriptural passages, current event applications, and contemporary Christian stories.  Currently studying the lessons from Jesus' parables.                                                                                                                                                                                                              Location: S1&S2      
                
The Discovery Class is a class where participants learn more about their lives as Christians. Currently studying the Book of James.                                                                                                                                                  Location: S4

College and Careers Group is a place where young adults ages 18-24 can meet for fellowship and to study how to strengthen their walk in Christ.                                                                                                                Location: Library

Adult Small Groups

Groups of 6-12 people meet in homes on various days and nights of the week. Most groups employ teaching videos, followed by discussion. Click to learn more about Small Groups

WEDNESDAYS

Women in the Word…Bible Studies meet Wednesday mornings from 9:30-11:00am. Childcare available through the Mother's Day Out program - advance reservations required.  Come to the Social Hall at 9:15am for coffee and fellowship.  Various studies are currently available.

VARIOUS DAYS

Walk to Emmaus… is a three-day experience designed to strengthen and renew the faith of Christians. Emmaus is a combined effort of laity and clergy toward renewal of the church. Participants continue to strengthen their spiritual journey with reunion group meetings in their area after the weekend.

College and Career Class College and career students meet at 11:00am Sunday mornings in the Library room of the New Hope building (NH106). We tend to alternate between a Bible study and studying a book by a Christian author (previously, we have studied writings by Ed Smith and John Ortberg). They also meet as a "small group" on Monday evenings at 7:30pm at the home of Jorge and Marty Rodriquez. We have a social event every so often instead of a study night, if there's a holiday or big bowl game. Anyone of college age is welcome at either, or at both.

Fellowship Ministries

Bridge Fellowship meets weekly to play Bridge and share fellowship. Mondays at 1:00pm in the South Social Hall. Also, a monthly Ladies’ group and a monthly Couples’ group meet in homes. Call Church office for more information

Campus Ministry is a way for the church to stay in contact with our college students. Each month, the students are sent a newsletter and a special treat. Call Sharon Kuebler at 689-4161 for more information.

Deeper is our Scuba Diving group that meets periodically, as listed in the Bulletin. This group meets at locations around the Bay area to scuba dive, share devotions and grow their faith.

Golden Disciples is for adults over 50. The group regularly goes on trips to area attractions, restaurants, plays, and concerts. In addition, they take overnight trips within Florida as well as an occasional cruise or other big trip. Call Linda Groh at 689-4161 for more information.

Strawberry Stitchers meet monthly to fellowship and sew together. They donate many of the items they make to area charities. 3rd Monday of month at 7:30pm Location: South Social Hall

United Methodist Men is for men of all ages. They meet weekly for a prayer breakfast at the church and around town. They also sponsor monthly pancake breakfasts and other annual events for the entire church in order to raise funds for their work with Habitat for Humanity and other local charitable groups.

United Methodist Women is for women of all ages. They have a monthly large group meeting as well as monthly small group meetings, known as Circles. They meet for fellowship, prayer, study, and fundraising for the many ministries they support. The monthly General Meeting is the 2nd Tuesday of each month in the Social Hall at 10:00am Call the Church office for more information regarding Circle meeting times/locations.
